An easy cocktail recipe for a
Pink Flamingo
The cherry version of the Piña Colada
Ingredients
- 1 part gin
- 1 part cherry liqueur
- 2 parts pineapple juice
- 2 parts orange juice
- 1 part cream of coconut
- ice cubes, crushed ice
- hurricane glass (if you don’t have one: highball glass)
How to mix a Pink Flamingo
For a Pink Flamingo cocktail fill a fancy glass or highball glass with crushed ice. Mix all ingredients together with some ice cubes in a shaker and strain into the glass (the ice cubes stay in the shaker). Garnish with orange slice, kiwi slice and a cocktail cherry.
Bartender’s tips and advice
- If possible use fresh squeezed orange juice. There´s at least 1 1/2 oz. (= 4,5 cl = 1 shot) of juice in every orange.
- This recipe along with the Swimming Pool and the Pink Colada are one of the most popular variations of the classic Piña Colada recipe. The Pink Flamingo has a slight cherry aroma that makes it unique.
