Bartender’s tips and advice
- It was Charles Dana Gibson, an illustrator in New York (among others for the Life magazine) who regularly drank his Martini Cocktail at the New York Players Club. One day he ordered his favorite cocktail again but the bartender had run out of olives. The bartender then simply replaced the olive by a silver onion. But he also took that chance to create a new drink by simply giving it its own name: Gibson.
