How to mix a Cafe Cobbler
For a Cafe Cobbler cocktail fill a cocktail glass two-thirds fill of crushed ice. Add cognac (brandy), sugar (about a teaspoon for each regular-sized cocktail glass), and cold coffee and stir carefully. Serve with straws.
Bartender’s tips and advice
- If you want to follow the tradition serve this drink in a cut stemmed glasses that are a bit larger than a modern cocktail glass. If you don’t own one use a regular cocktail glass. That’s also why this is one of the very few cocktails that is served in a cocktail glass with ice and straws.
