2 parts rum
4 parts dark rum
1 part passion fruit syrup
2 parts orange juice
2 parts orange juice

ice cubes, crushed ice

Fill half of the longdrink glass with crushed ice. Mix all ingredients with ice cubes in a shaker and strain into the glass (the ice cubes you used for mixing the ingredients stay in the shaker). Garnish Hurrican with pineapple slice and cocktail cherry.

If possible use fresh squeezed orange juice for the Hurrican Cocktail. There´s at least 1 1/2 oz. (= 4,5 cl = 1 shot) of juice in every orange.

About the cocktail's history: the Hurrican cocktail was created in the Irish bar "Pat O'Brien's" in New Orleans/USA - a city that unfortunately has to cope with hurricans on a regular basis.
